Why does everyone want to get rid of Eddy?

If I've got the right end of the stick, the club offered him a paycut when he'd just helped get us promoted and he told them to get lost. Fair dos, that's really, really s**t if true.

He's been great for us - consistant and reliable. Sure, he tailed off this season, but it wasn't like he got much help from the midfield. He was in for most of the season because he was BETTER than Helveg - stone cold F A C T!

Helveg offers slightly more going forward but he has yet to convince me he's any better than an in-form Edworthy. If we replace him with a young 'un, fair enough (Although this will cost MONEY!). If Helveg leaves, there's no way we should ditch Eddy as well.
