What do you want to do, specifically, and when?

Skiing is brilliant there. Some resorts get good late season snow, like Obertauern.

There is some stunning scenery. Mountain lakes, places very well set up for action sports, like mountain biking and hiking and the like (Saalbach / Hinterglemm for example, which also has good nightlife - at least in winter)...

As for driving, speeding cameras are fairly common and sometimes concealed, though it's not like Switzerland.

Food and drink are usually excellent. Wine is really underrated, and the cake is great.
