I germinate them on a piece of wet kitchen roll in a plastic bag.

Wet a piece of kitchen roll, put some seeds on one half of it, spaced out about a half inch apart, and fold it over so the seeds are sandwiched in the middle.

Stick that in a plastic sandwich bag, the sort that can reseal by pressing together a grooved strip across the top. Then seal it up almost all the way, and inflate it with a drinking straw. Whip the straw out as quick as a goose and seal it all the way up.

Stick that on a sunny windowsill and check every day. Once you see the seeds start to germinate (because you'll likely get some duds) transfer the good ones to a seed tray with a pin or sewing needle or somethig similar.

The inflatabubble sandwich bag greenhouse will need puffing up every so often, so keep an eye on it.
