Refs make severity judgement calls all the time.

he could have just booked him and covered his arse......

You would have to be a c**t of a ref to red card him in that situation..........

The claim is refs want respect but when you have guys doing s**t like this its hard to respect them.

I am guessing he had history with the player manager.....

This incident should be used in ref training videos........ there are always situations where solid judgement is needed.
