It will be a big opportunity missed

because I'm not sure when we'll be in this position again. Yes, we have over-performed and have done brilliantly considering the depths to which we'd sunk two years ago, but this is a very good chance. If we don't take it, I don't think you apportion particular blame to anyone. I hope Hoolahan doesn't become a scapegoat because of his missed penalties against QPR and Preston and although yesterday's was pathetic. Just as pathetic was Holt's dive to try and get a penalty when he could easily have got a shot in and possibly scored. I still hope Lambert will come up trumps with a loan striker to pull us over the line, but there aren't that many candidates around. Like you, I have a horrible feeling we'll just miss out on a play-off place. That would be a terrible shame given our results earlier in the season, but I'm still very proud of the way we've responded after what seemed like the end of the world at Charlton almost two years ago.
