Get them out soonish, and keep them warm.

I don't have a greenhouse or coldframe outside so I keep the plants indoors, which infuriates the wife no end, because they endup taking all the windowsill space.

But if I did have a greenhouse they'd go out there towards the end of may or beginning of June.

Don't leave them outside without a greenhouse or something like that. They probably will still flower and fruit if you do, but you won't get anything like the harvest you would if you keep them protected from the elements.
