We normally start them off indoors on windowsills in small pots for around six/eight weeks in March. Some take three weeks to germinate. The back of the house faces south west so this helps early growing.
After that they go in the green-house in large pots. We've never used a heated propagator or heated the greenhouse in May when it's still sometimes cold.
Bumper crops each year.
