blair went on and and on about the success of his academies. with some justification - lots of them did do better than the schools they replaced - but that was probably partly cos they had shedloads of money thrown at them to make sure they worked, rather than just cos academies were great ideas or anything

the last thing he would have wanted to do would be to ignore or hide their results.
