really? depends what you think tory policies, are really

if you think tories are at heart all about assertiveness and aggression abroad, then yes, blair was a tory.

if you think on the other hand tories really care about domestic policies - cutting welfare payments, breaking up nhs and getting more private money into it, freeing more schools to go independent or private, then hard to argue blair was a tory. but pretty clear clegg is.
