average covers a range of abilities. Some average managers are slightly better and some are slightly worse than others. The 'verys' were to indicate that Worthy is neither one of the "better" average managers nor one of the "worse" average ones but one of the smack-bad-in-the-middle-neither-remotely-good-nor-bad average ones!!! ;0)
