W is holt's backup, that's it. He was bought in to cover holts suspensions

so we have a big man to play in those games as Martin/Jackson hasn't worked as a partnership.

We couldn't afford to, or were able to find, a big man as good as Holt to come sit on the bench.

He's starting now because Martin is injured, and Jackson hasn't worked out.
Martin was looking decent again before the injury, and would be starting now if he was fit.

This obsession with Wilbraham is rather odd from many people, its fairly obvious what his role is.

Also, if I hear "we need to get a proven championship goalscorer in on loan" again I swear I'll kill someone (go on, you know you want to).

Do people REALLY think there are 'PROVEN' goal scorers at this level sitting around doing nothing at clubs, or that those clubs currently playing these players are simply going to let them come to us?

Proven strikers at this level are bloody hard to find, especially on loon at this stage.
Unless you are leicester and have the funds to pay Yakubu (mind you, he wasn't proven at this level was he?)
