I'm sure you are not doubting they put 100% effort in physically

mentally possibly they didn't apply themselves right but half of them have played at League 1 level for a lot of their careers, it's not surprising that we're not always at 100%, if they did it every week they would have played at a higher level. That's why Lambert is doing such a great job, he is getting the very best out of them most weeks and last night he admitted we could have done better but it's not easy to maintain such high standards every week. We need to support the team not get on their backs.
