It's not just Norwich which has a problem with booing. Alex McGleish and Redknapp have both recently sounded off about it. Birmingham were booed off after losing their first home game in over a year.
In my mind it is to do with the rising costs of football and its transformation into a leisure activity. People expect 'value for money' and to be 'entertained'. Many people have become consumers of football rather than supporters.
I got really f**ked off with it during the decline of the worthy era. I really don't see how it helps, especially during the game.
I can completely see why it would piss Lambert and the players off after all they have achieved.
And the 'fans' who groan when we keep possession rather than lump it forward aimlessly really do need to be taken outside and put down.
