This board have invested in Lambert heavilly

his mistakes aren't torn apart because every injury we pick up includes a signing days later

To give you my personal angle on where it started, keeping it relative to what I've just said about Lambert. It started in 2007 when Grant lost Etuhu and Earnshaw to release clauses. Around the same time Martin lost it too

His replacements of Fotheringham and Brellier became injured straight away, but weren't sufficiently replaced. Which meant despite early funding, he had to make do with what he had. Roeder was the same, except he put up with those difficult circumstances with loans. When funding wasn't made available to sign the good ones, he plodded on signing good players for the future along the way (Wes, Clingan)

A better way to look at this, in my opinion, is where it ended, and it ended when the board started supporting the club
