Wasn't a football decision by any stretch, that much is clear.

PL has put the player before the club.

That may bite us on the backside, I hope not though.

What it will also do though is add to the team spirit he's created, and the respect the players have for him.

How much of our latest 2 last minute winners are down to the players playing for the gaffer and not giving up? And how much of that is down to them respecting him for doing right by one of their mates, instead of making the right football decision and making him stay?
