unsuprisingly though, neither of the 2 main parties, which happen to benefit most from the current system, are interested in changing the system - the 3rd one is - but then they'll (probably) benefit most from the changes they proposed in their manifesto - maybe not in terms of votes, but certainly in terms of making it a more level playing field.

still, as yet it's not cash for peerages...
