It'll probably come out all over the place but its a 4-1-3-1-1 sort of thing, C Martin taking the sort of position and role Teddy Sheringham used to for Man Utd and don't laugh, but he is the player I think C Martin reminds me of in terms of the way he finds space, the pass, the way he thinks (he's a clever footballer) and, when needed, his finishing.

The midfield trio is a bloody luxury, nay, an indulgence so Crofty has to work ever so hard, prowling and protecting the back 4, bombing upfield when needed and, when he's knackered, having a like-for-like sub for Smith.

My formation, so, therefore, about 6.86 light years away from anything Lambert would consider!

What does please me is that you can have a hypothetical starting XI using those players and it means a bench of players like Ward, Fox, Lappin, Smith and Jackson, who'd be first teamers at a lot of clubs in our division.

Squad getting stronger and stronger, I like!!
