....

What I meant in the moment, when I said it, was that I think refs go into our games knowing who we are. Yes, obviously Norwich, but more likely they know we've been to the fa a couple of times, and they know we've had a card rescinded, and made a fuss about it

They'll also know that since Holt's wrongful dismissal, was the Ipswich game, where from minute one, he was well involved (I liked, don't get me wrong). He was strong in the tackle on one of their players, and another time, another place, he'd not be getting a red rescinded on review. He was only booked

Later in the game, he went down and one of their players was sent off. He went down easy again against Sheff utd, and we got a pen

All good things for us to happen. I did say at the time in the sheff u game that he provoked Quinn by sticking his foot out, to which Quinn reacted and was sent off (cue Reid running in after seeing said event, and our players joined in, 7k fine for us for not controlling our players)

Now, to answer your question

In the last 3 games, we've had some raw tackles going in on us, and we've had some penalty shouts. We've not been getting them. Possibly because of the individual on the game. But, I think it's possibly more likely because refs are aware of stats, and aware of main culprits. I don't that means they change their decisions because of what they've research, but I do think it makes them think twice, or revert to a firmer stance. ie "I'm only giving that if it's cast iron 100% a pen, I don't want to be caught out afterwards, finding out x had hold of y's shirt in the first place"

That's kind of why I think there's been 2-3 definite cases of a red card for the oppo, and the decision has been cautious, and only yellow

Similarly, hearing Jackson was booked for diving last night, doesn't surprise me either. That one on it's own, sounds like a ref has had some knowledge before hand and isn't in the mood for such antics

That's what I think anyway, have done all along. I'm also happy that the footy does the talking, as well as the win at all costs stuff. We can clearly ride the adversity and still stick in a shift

I just dread a day when it doesn't go for us, like a Tranmere, and I dread that day being the play off final, or something like that

I have a main philosophy/ideal, that football will always win through, and I guess sometimes I feel we have enough to win without seeking niggly advantages.

Examples where I'd say teams have focussed away from the football too much, are Colchester vs us last season at Layer Road, and Leeds this season at home to Cardiff. In both instances, us and Cardiff got on with the balls stuff, and the oppo got on with something different, and both ended up getting spanked

Got a nice walk to the shops to have now, then I can watch the footy, and then the spanish footy (so Spastic Sweary Cockend 28 can spend the rest of the week picking at this translating into something else, ie, how I suddenly hate our team or whatever. It'll always be a firm marker, that I've never called Lambert a c**t, or neither would I rather have had Murray win on sunday, than us be promoted. Which says a great deal about that prick, and should be thought about whilst he's ripping the above to shreds)

How this was informative for you, and answers what you asked of me :)
