but I haven't had time, is to discover the true stream address which is within the Flash object on the Canaries World player.
Then make a web application using something like PHP on an Apache server, to re-encode the stream to and then re-stream it to your iPhone (and potentially other devices). You'd still have to authenticate of course so would need a CW account, but once you could then for example open it in VLC then you could restream it.
First bit's not easy though unless PTV would be obliging. Haven't tried it and won't have time in the foreseeable future but if some bright spark had a go it is certainly possible.
Oh, I just had another idea which I might try at the weekend. Try this but you'd need someone at home to kick it off - sign in to Canaries World on your PC and connect to the commentary, then start Skype and point your microphone at the speakers.
Then, assuming you have Skype on your iPhone, create a second account. Log in to that one, then call your PC account from your iPhone. That might well work.
I might give it a go at the weekend cos that would be a good start for me - so I can actually go and do some shopping and still listen to it for example.
