Clutching at Straws

After so much speculation linking us with this player and that it is understandable that there will be an air of disappointmernt on this board if, as expected, we don't sign anyone today.

Bennett would have been a good signing, providing the service from the right and giving Lambert more options with formations etc. I have always thought it wasn't so much who we sign, but who our direct rivals bring that may ultimately decide how our season ends up panning out.

We always have the option of going for a loan once the window opens again but Lambert already probably has all the loan players he wants for now.
