As a target man and an all round player . . . Ashton was light years ahead of him! The goals Carroll scored in the championship last season ashton scored in half a season at a club like crew and had a very similar strike rate in the premiership as Carroll now has in the same time frame. . . And we only got 7m! Ashton was 3 times the player in every aspect of his game.
