It's not an easy thing learning an instrument

I've done far better learning a language than I ever did when I was trying to learn the guitar, so you should be pleased that you can play such rewarding music. I can always play 1 or 2 songs on the guitar from memory which is nice but generally a remember very little and I never got to stage where I could play more than a few basic chords. My strumming was always s**te!
