is he really a sell-out though? he certainly sold his party and its core supporters out

way back in '97 i thought he would say anything at all to get elected - that the shift to the right was just a scam until they could get into power and for that reason i didn't trust him (and also didn't vote for Labour as i didn't want that lurch to the left - not that i knew what i did want...)

as it turns out, he really was as right-wing and Tory-esque as he promised to be.

Cameron's different. he's said whatever it takes to get elected and then not turned out to be as left-wing and 'progressive' as he promised to be.

although i've never voted for either, i'm not sure which one's worse (subsequent wars aside)

as for Clegg, well, when asked about hung parliaments he always maintained he'd speak first to the party with the largest number of seats - anyone frothing at the mouth because they thought no deal would ever be done with a party they personally didn;t want to deal with ought to have listened a bit more closely and paid attention to what they wer voting for (not what they were voting against)
