FAO Dubs and AB - bad news I'm afraid

Having a bad week. I thought I'd knock up the Basic Outline on my old 4-track but it seems to be knackered. it still functions as a mixer but I can't persuade it to record anything. Ah well, i thought, never mind, I'll record onto my pooter.

But that's not happening either: the software is making a colossal cock of recording tracks. I put down the beat and spent two days minimising clicks and dropouts until I finally managed to record something just about usable - but now I've begun adding tracks and it's all over the place, starting them at random intervals and dropping out every couple of seconds.

I guess this means either my processor or my soundcard just aren't up to the task. Given time I'll probably work a way around all this s**te but right now I'm firmly in the Stamp Around Swearing stage and can't think beyond Oh Bollocks.

I'm still up for the project but at this moment I'm completely stymied. Unless I or somebody more clever come(s) up with a rapid solution, we're kind of on hold.

Bummer. Going to go watch a fillum and try to calm down. Apols.
