It was good fun! I didn't get a chance to ask the all important Bennett question as the mic was hogged by some old timer (grave robber?) from the '39 era. He started off by saying he was going to change the mood of the evening with two moans. (These turned out to be two long winded - but amusing - tales about how he loves PL. Probably not worth repeating. We'll see what the EDP reports on them.)

He did give PL some advice though by saying that John Bond and Mike Walker's careers were ruined by leaving Norwich. Lambert commented that he could see how they might have been driven out by the likes of this old chap blathering on.

His question was, was it true that he planned to buy three more strikers, two to play full backs and one in goal? This was ignored and with it, I felt, my chance to ask about Bennett.

They did say money would be available though.
