XXL clearly has the hump with Lansbury, especially after today and is fearful he will keep KOS or Korey out of the team.
However, to say his (Lansbury's) selection is leading to KOS, Korey (or anyone) being "dropped" is a tad harsh.
The bench is as part of the matchday side now as the starting XI, a strong bench and astute substitutions and tactical changes are essential, and, in Lambert, we have a Manager who see's all 18 selected for the squad on the day as being equally important.
Lansbury is quality, no question, and if he is fit and able to play, then he deserves his chance, it's not a problem accomodating him and Wes, as it can be done (witness Ipswich).
Look at our bench today, players who would, two years ago, been shoe-in's and automatic selections. Squad is beginning to look strong all round and, steadily, in depth, and we should look to the positives of that, not slag Lansbury and lament the (non) passing of those who might not play because of him.
