they'll think you're someone who's actually quite swictched on and cares about the safety of himself and others.
The bad employers will run a mile, the good ones will like you for it. It shows an element of professionalism, something you're likely to carry on into your work.
Really, don't risk messing around with the asbestos stuff.
Tricky situation as legally they shouldn't be able to sack you or not take you on just for raising the issue, but as Arizona (?) said it would be a b***h to prove (though tribunals aren't stupid....).
but you'd be best off without them anyway in that scenario.
