reading too much into that IMO

We had a statement out in about an hour after Burnley went public, most of that hour would have probably involved board members calling each other and waking up Joe Ferrari, how much time would they have to polish and then publish the statement. They've showed passion to keep the manager, which is what we would have all hoped for.
No board can ever say 'he's going nowhere' because they would look like idiots if despite their best efforts he resigns this morning.
