Makes no sense on any level

Is Lambert unhappy here? No indication at all - Huckerby isn't aware of it, which means Drury isn't aware of it.
But if he is - why Burnley? If his agent let it be known that he was unhappy he would get a Premier League job this season - West Ham, Fulham? Why Burnley?
Goes now and he will have an enduring reputation for jumping ship.

It seems laughable but seems true.
Confused and very very worried.
