Rugby union fans see the bigger picture and understand that unconventional decisions may not only be in the best interests of the club but also the whole game.
Wasps used to play in front of hundreds in the early 90s. Then the game went pro and every club had to find imaginative ways to sell the game and themselves to a wider audience.
They moved to Loftus Road, they moved to Wycombe. They've played home games at Twickenham, at Wemble. Supporters have always accepted the need to grow and grow quickly to survive. And remember the market place: football dominmates absolutely bloody everything - particularly in the south.
Don't tar every sport with football's dirty bog brush.
