First impressions

First thing that grabbed me - 'no Have Your Say section'. Oh please, yes, but not very likely, I fear. I think the gen pub have come to expect it now, the opportunity to text something fatuous to whatever programme they're currently gawping at - plus, it's a revenue stream, and hey, this is 2011.

Secondly, I'm not sure that the gen pub is all that interested in Educated Opinion. I was in company recently while watching MOTD, and just as Lee Dixon was making an interesting point about Garteh Bale's positioning I realised that everyone else in the room was, well, not interested. Yes, 'Garteh'. BBC4, yes maybe - but would it be the sort of thing they'd look to screen on there?
