Reassurance about what? I was merely replying to Mr Pye's ludicrous post below, which seemed to imply that people who have forgotten how bad we were under Hamilton somehow have short memories, yet people who have forgotten how bad we were at Southampton a few weeks ago etc, somehow have 20 20 memories.
What would actually be reassuring would be if one of the Pollyannas would explain how Doherty is a good signing, or why playing Holt instead of Safri was a good idea, or why playing players out of position is a good idea, or why when we had the worst defensive record for 50 years Fleming's position is inviolate, or how telling the players they weren't playing for their futures stopped it being 12-0 instead of only 6, or why dropping players who do well is good man - management. But no-one ever does, no matter how often these questions are asked. The only responses are "you're a bad supporter" or "keep the faith" or "you've got a short memory". Although actually my favourite is "he's better than Hamilton". And then when it was pointed out that Worthington's record this season is equally as bad as Hamilton's, and with less excuse, the response was that it was "unfair". If someone, anyone, were actually capable of defending the manager, instead of resorting to dreary insults and / or brain-dead platitudes the debate might move on. But they won't.
