I am frustrated with alot of Worthys decisions but I still have two nagging doubts about letting him go:
1) I'm assuming the board know about the issues at Colney and understand the reason behind the poor start - maybe it is the Francis/McKenzie love triangle - maybe it is just Steve Foley not coaching as much as in the past owing to his health issues? So , as the board hopefully know the real reason they can make the right decision with regards to Worthy
2) One of the main reasons I feel we have done so well in the last few seasons is the stability factor - changing out your manager does not always work and who would we bring in. Can we be absolutely sure they will make things better or are we going to spiral into years of short mangement tenure and mid table obscurity at best - again!
If Worthy has indeed lost the dressing room for whatever reason and the board have a suitably good candidate to replace him, then only then would I say regretably, thanks for your efforts Nigel but its time to move on.
