in no particular order, fillums I recall seeing lately:
Beowulf + Grendel - that was OK, they made a decnt fist of creating the right atmosphere but we all know the story so no surprises. Better than the perfcap thing, tho.
Adaptation - i thought it was really cleverly made but if I say why I'll spoil it. Decent story.
The Corporation - 2.5hrs is too long for this kind of doc. After 2 hrs you begin to feel capitalist
(Just seen Brandy's post appear - I agree)
Dark City - apparently came out just before the matrix, which is possibly why it passed me by. Really enjoyed that
Death at a funeral - the yank one, haven't seen the Btit one. Good fun
End of the Line - a must-see, a doco that illustrates that we have learned nothing from Easter island
Martyrs - jeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeze, only if you're feeling strong
Suck (Not Vampires Suck) - good fun, comedy vampire-rock band gag, passes a pleasurable 90mins
The Counterfeiters - yep, see this
4 lions - really good tho' poss not as funny as the mags said it was
Fear + Loathing etc - sorry but I just don't get this at all
Drag Me To hell - as long as you don't take it seriously or expect it to be a Proper Horror Film, it's lots of fun
Brothers - marvellous
can't think of any others immediately. Did you ever see Precious? My Fillum Of Last Year, that.
