We spent four days last week in Cley windmill, fantastic place. Gave us the chance to go shopping in Holt, afternoon tea at the Blackney Hotel and day at Holkham. I hadn?t realised that Cley had its own smoke house, doing kippers, bloaters and mackerel. We also spent a morning on Cley marshes. Saw a variety of birds, harriers, a kingfisher, all sorts of geese, pin tales, poachard to name but a few!

We had booked to go to Snettisham beach for a Pinkies? Breakfast, to watch the Pink Foot geese, but it was cancelled as their runway was iced over, well visitors kept slipping on the ice. At least we were told the day before and didn?t have to get up at 5:30.

Also bought a telescope and tripod from Cley Spy.
