Yeah I read that earlier and thought the same.

He was definately linked with us under Roeder and it seemed more than just rumours. I recall we were after Ameobi but couldnt afford him so Carrol was the 2nd best option.

I have to say at the time I thought he would be a s**t a signing. Shows how much I know!
