It's been poor shot selection by England for sure- yes we'll lose this (unless Bell can pull off a double with a Jimmy and Swann 50 each- unlikely).

But, the Australian middle order barring Hussey is VERY brittle. And he has to fail at some point.

I'd drop Colly for the next test and bring in Morgan and move Bell up. I love Bell and he's SO improved. 2 out of his 3 innings so far has had him only having the tail for company.

This isn't over. Australia are still a poor team overall. But we've won once at the WACA ever and that was with a weakened Aussie team. The next two won't be the same.

Australia can never, EVER be written off. And it surprised me how a lot of the English did... as if the last 20 or so years of Ashes tests in Australia had never happened.

We still have Cook who's looked good, Strauss has a ton and a 50, KP a double, Trott with a big hundred and Bell with 3 fifties. The Australians have had Hussey and to a lesser extent Haddin.
