Yeah but that was the catalyst for McNally to put his foot down and get rid of Gunn

Truth is, I guess we'll never know whether McNally was planning to poach Lambert before that game or not. You'd suspect not.

If that hadn't happened, it may well still have been inevitable that he would have gotten rid of Gunn, but possibly not in time to go straight back up again.
