Links to the original article don't work anymore but I found the story copied and pasted in a forum. Hare goo:
"MARC Tierney has categorically dismissed speculation surrounding a move away from Colchester United - least of all to Norwich City!
The 24-year-old left-back is reported to have attracted interest from a number of clubs following some impressive displays this season.
Those rumours have now been quashed however after the tough-tackling fans' favourite admitted he was confident of signing a contract extension with the U's in the very near future.
And the man who has described himself as a 'fan in a shirt' was keen to play down one particular rumour.
?My girlfriend went shopping the other day and someone asked her if I was going to Norwich! I'd just like to say that I would never in a million years go to Norwich. I can categorically say that!?
Tierney currently has 18 months left on his current contract, but revealed he is currently in talks with manager Aidy Boothroyd about extending that.
?The manager has said he would like to offer me a new deal and hopefully that can be resolved quite quickly. I imagine it will be a formality because I've really enjoyed my time since I've been here.
?My first child was born in Colchester last year and, with another on the way, I fully expect him or her to be born here too.
It's flattering to be linked with Championship clubs, but I'm getting a good grounding here and I'm really excited about what Colchester are building.?
U's boss Aidy Boothroyd said: ?I saw the speculation surrounding Marc but I don't get sucked in by all that stuff.
?Marc is a player I think a lot of so I will sit down and try and extend his contract.? "
