where he mentioned the reason Wes was dropped was to try and first make the side more solid before they added flair.
It was nothing to do with not liking Wes but we just needed to stop shipping goals.
Paul Lambert had already identified that we were too open.
Once he was happy the team defending was sorted out he re-introduced Wes.
Wes is a great player but you almost have to set up the team around him.
You need a plan B and C when its not working or he is out.
Lambert has been pretty f**king excellent at thinking two or three moves ahead.
