Lambert normally chooses his words carefully but this is obviously a risky play.
He is willing to slate some of his current squad players (Askou, Nelson ect ect ect)
to try and get the board to make it happen.

If we slip down to mid table by Jan it will make signing players more difficult and any financial gamble in the window less attractive.

Get into the top 6 and we might have a real go at getting in some players to take us to the next level.
