He's not thick in the slightest, but he is a downer...

...maybe not in the 'real world'..

Perhaps when he turns up a party everyone goes mental and starts chanting "jayson" "jayson" and everyone starts nudging each other because he gets the party started and the girls can't wait to run upstairs with him and 'par-deeee'..

But I doubt it...

I'm not on any bandwagon with him but he is patronising, condescending and sneery so and so (not that I think he's bothered about that) and that's his thing..

I can fully understand why that might irritate people and to suggest that is some kind of bandwagon, or knee-jerk reaction, is ridiculous and ignoring the facts as outlined above...
