reminds me of basic training at RAF Swinderby in the mid-80's..... on day one one lad from newcastle, was asked what his name was by the drill sergeant... the lad said his name, "right" said the drill sergeant, "from today you will be known as "short-stuff" and whenever I ask "time, short-stuff?" you will answer me in a clear and loud voice what the correct time is,have you got that?!".

for 16 weeks this lad was called "short-stuff" and every few hours we'd hear the roar from the front "time short-stuff?!"......
