on the whole he was a great player for us, versatile, dependable....

scored goals and back int he day was a half decent defender despite being a lump.... also his leadership qualities were an asset.

The only bad inncident that sticks out for me is his lunge to give away a penalty against inter at home, with the ball going towards the corner flag!

when he scored at swindon away in the early nineties (we drew 3-3) I bumped into him in a pub well after the game (i was at nearby brize norton so on the lash with a mate who lived in swindon) and rob was having a drink with his family from bristol.... he was a great bloke, happy to share some time with me at the bar talking about the game and footy in general....
