friend of mine did a ref's course

the instructor said it should be impossible for someone of his age to be reffing at the top level. Couldn't understand how it could happen.

The FA put him there, they need to clean up his mess. It's not a case of if you're good enough you're old enough. You only get good enough by putting the years in and working your way up. I don't think you should ref at the top level until you are 30.
