saw some pretty brutal ones where the police were called in. Won a couple against scummers but also did get knocked down clean once, huge black eye. Argument over a game of football at lunch and he was a black belt in Karate. After that we become really close mates, went to school and college with him more days for years and then he died in a car crash when he was 18, promising footballer as well. That was horrific and has always put things in perspective since for me.

Actually he was also witness to the last fight I had - was when I was 17 and I held my own outside the college against a reputed local hard man. Loads of people came up to me that night in pubs congratulating me. Was one of the most pleasing things ever and also very strange.
