Help, appealing to the fountain of knowledge that is the wroth

A Man U supporter recently made the claim to me that UTD hold the attendance record for the old 2nd div and that the year they got relegated they also had the highest attendance of any relegated (from the old 1st div) team. I seem to recall they had s**te attendance back then....my memory letting me down?
