If you've got a wierd blood group that's even more reason to donate.

I'm AB Neg, which is the rarest blood group in the AB Rhesus system, so they are DEAD keen on me keeping every appt. They ring me up and check I haven't forgotten and everything.

Dunno about the uric acid stuff, but I guess as long as they don't give it to a goutists like Gary Brookes it'll be alright.

Only way to be sure is to go along, donate, and they'll tell you if they don't want you when they test your blood.
