The first half was breathtaking, the most open game I've seen for a long while.

Jay Bothroyd headed City into the lead inside 10 mins and by the time 12 mins were on the clock it was 2 - 0 as Michael Chopra capitalised on Bothroyds flick on.

The game was end to end with either side looking capable of scoring. For periods City were defending deep as Norwich took control and there was little surprise when Wes Hoolahan pulled one back on 34 mins.

City could have buckled but immediately they were on the offensive and 2 mins later won a penalty. Elliott Ward handling in the box. Peter Whittingham stepped up to make it 3 - 1 and City saw out the half.

As a fan sat in the stand I never felt comfortable all game. On reflection the second half passed with Norwich hardly threatening but still having decent possession. City could have extended the lead with Chopra forcing a smart save from Ruddy and Bothroyd hitting the bar.

The three minutes extra at the end was played out with Cardiff mostly playing keep ball.

Special mention to the Norwich fans. Lovely people, supported their side and gave Bellamy an ovation when he went to take a corner in front of them. Cardiff were 3 - 1 up at this stage.

There was a poor challenge on Chopra that saw the City player somersault through the air and Jay Bothroyd forced a yellow card against himself with a needless challenge. He will miss the game next week against Swansea.

With Q.P.R. drawing (again) City have made it five wins from five games in October and now top the table by two points.

Dave Jones is odds on to win Manager of the Month.

Next up City face Swansea, live on BBC on Sunday November 7th, ko 1:10pm.

Best cardiff game i have seen this season, end to end, open play and good quality. Fair play to Norwich in the first half they looked a good time, probably the best i have seen down here. Jay is without doubt (bar Bellemy) the best striker/player in the leagure, sheer class, shame he got booked (never a yellow) but then again should have been sent off against Leeds. nice to see Kevin Mc back to his best as his defending has been awful up until today. This is our year....Believe!

Fair play to them. it was great to see them all clapping bellamy and appreciating a good player
Great away support from them, although made me laugh watching the youngsters ithe Family Stand wind up grown men again. Saw one Norwich fan in the yellow wig removed from the area before kick off.
The norwich fans do have good support away from home fair play
And Holt having a laugh with a guy in the crowd - good family team.
They gave Bellamy a fantastic reception. So different to the abuse he took up at the Ricoh.

also respect for Grant Holt. Took plenty of stick for being a fat git, and took it in good humour and played along with it with the crown at the front of the Ninian Stand. Norwich as a club have gone well up in my estimation today, eevn though they did come up against something special !!
