Surely it looks bad to the commitee if you violate the rules.
Plus then they refused to back down until a formal complaint was made. very silly.
Reasons why I think we will get it.
PL is rated one of the worlds best leagues, all the infrastructure/travel is in place to host big matches.
Over the past 10 years we have constantly had teams in the European competition latter stages.
After SA and the mess with the organising/shootings and the selling of tickets this would be a walk in the park.
I think coming off the 2014 WC in Brazil they will be looking for a easier selection.
The fact they are also selecting the 2022 WC as well helps us I think.
All 5 remaining bids for the 2022 WC are going to be slightly tricky.
Korea, Japan or the US are probably not going to get it because of the time factor.
Not impossible but highly unlikley.
Australia looks the easy pick but.........
Qatar would be a total security headache and an infrastructure headache.
But....... I think they might try and spring a surprise and go for the first middle east tournie.
By announcing now they would give them extra time to get ready.
If they go for either Australia or Qatar, they will both present their problems.
If thats their plan they probably want an easier tournament in 2018
If you look at the world powers of football, most have had 2 world cups (including Brazil 2014)
We look so due another. It would be 52 years since the last one.
I cannot see them making England wait till at least the next European go around
